We were told to write an article on any individual whose name was dedicated to a building in honour of their tremendous contribution to the growth and development of the University I attend.  While reading the biography of one of the individuals who had deeply caught my attention, which happened to be the visioner of the University, it got me thinking that a person could work so tirelessly in service, being committed to whatever he found his hands doing and made great impact in the lives of people that when he died, people could still remember him for the works he did.  This led me into retrospection about my life. Can my life be an example for others to follow? I realized all those little things - those gestures, that expression of care- count! There's a common saying, "People are looking at you"....

Some of us are studying law to continue the legacies of our parents and grandparents who are successful law attorneys in Ibadan, Oyo State; some are studying law to ultimately wear a ‘silk wig’ or become a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) 10 years after graduation; some for the prestige and respect that the profession commands; some for the purpose of fighting for common man like Barrister Ebun Adegoruwa and Late Chief Gani Fawehinmi.  I just want to study Law to sue Segun who broke my heart on my 19th birthday! By Ebenezer Zion Prof. Igbasan: Waging war against drug abuse McPherson University Management has read out fresh riot acts on drug abuse and all antisocial vices to all students at the University. Speaking during the special orientation on drug use and abuse at the Multipurpose Hall on Saturday, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francis Igbasan disclosed that the Management was determined to win the 'war' against drug abuse.  He stressed further that drug abuse was one of the vices destroying the youths across many institutions of higher learning and added that such 'disturbing and uncivil acts' would not be tolerated in McPherson University.
