McU Alumnus, Precious Tops ACCA Exams

An alumnus of McPherson University, Ogun State, Miss. Precious Edinaeval Aduekpe, has emerged as the best in the September 2023 diet of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants [ACCA] professional Examinations. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francis Adegbaye Igbasan has described her as an exceptional champion who is indeed focused and disciplined. 

The Vice-Chancellor had placed a call across to her to personally congratulate Miss. Aduekpe for emerging the best and for making McPherson University and Nigeria proud! 

“I want to specially congratulate you [Miss. Aduekpe]. You are very exceptional. You are a true champion, and the University is very proud of you. You are very determined. As an undergraduate here at McPherson University, you hold the record of being the first 300-level student to become a chartered accountant. The University is indeed very proud of your achievements. My prayer is that the good Lord will continue to guide you in all your future endeavors”, the VC prayed while speaking with her.  

Interestingly, the jubilations have spread to the Department of Accounting & Finance, College of Humanities. Social & Management Science (COHSMAS) where she graduated with a first-class degree in Accounting in November, 2020.

The Head of Department of Accounting, Dr. Grace Aina expressed her joy about the young lady's achievement. 

The immediate past HOD of the Department, Dr. Babatunde Lawal also expressed his delight about Miss. Aduekpe's latest exploit. He described her as a champion with sterling qualities. 

“My heart is filled with joy at the good news from my wonderful and dedicated ex-student Precious Aduekpe who emerged as the best student in the just concluded September 2023 ACCA examinations and the Best in Nigeria. This is expected as you emerged as the best-graduating student in the 2019/2020 Academic Session with a CGPA of 4.95! You have proved your academic brilliance within and outside Nigeria. Keep soaring higher and higher! We are indeed proud of you, Dr. Lawal told the Communicator.

Meanwhile, ACCA Nigeria and ACCA Africa have taken to social media to celebrate Miss. Aduekpe's exploits. 

ACCA Nigeria said the group “is proud of your performance and wishes you the best in your future endeavours” 

Likewise, the ACCA Africa via its handle on Instagram – 'acca africa' wrote: “Congratulations to our top performers in Nigeria, from the September 2023 examinations.” 

ACCA was founded in 1904 as a global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualifications.
