Rev. Bola Adams

The Secretary, McPherson University's Board of Trustees, Rev. Bola Adams, turns 70 today. Many ministers and members of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria will roll out drums to celebrate her at the National Headquarters of the Foursquare Movement in Alagomeji-Yaba, Lagos, where economism will be showered on her.

Indeed, Rev. Adams is deserving of all the prayers and encomiums that would be poured on her today. She has demonstrated her undying love for God over and over again. She is a kingdom financial to the core and philanthropist.  Intentionally, Rev. Adams is living a daily life of sacrifice. She is generous, pious, and virtuous. These virtues, among others, have endeared her to many people across different strata of society.

Through her habitual philanthropic gesture, shattered lives have been repaired, souls have been saved and dreams have been given wings. Today Rev. Adams has possibly lost count of the patients who have received care at the ultramodern Health Care facility she built and donated to the LIFE Theological Seminary, Ikorodu, Lagos. Likewise, she has possibly also lost count of students who have benefited from the scholarship scheme offered by the Bola Adams Foundation. Her fingerprints are also visibly present inside the FGC Camp, Ajebo City, where she built the Jehovah Shammah Hall. These are clear indications of her love for God and humanity. She cares.  It is interesting to note that beyond Foursquare, Rev Adams is a blessing to many families and denominations. She has fully and in some cases partly funded the construction and re-construction of many churches in the Orthodox and Pentecostal folds in rural areas and urban centres.

Clearly, Rev, Adams is an extraordinary kingdom partner who truly understands the essence of kingdom financing, kingdom expansion, and the true essence of wealth in the hands of a believer! Today, while people of her status would have chosen to throw parties in a 7-star hotel in Dubai or Europe, she chose the House of God for the grand celebration. This is rare.

At McPherson University, she has put up a giant Female hostel as one of her contributions to the shortage of accommodation in the University. This again speaks volumes! Indeed, her donation will greatly improve the infrastructural capacity of the University.

For life, Rev Adams will remain a great inspiration and example of leadership, courage, and generosity. This generation is lucky to have such a woman of faith with a large heart around. She is a big blessing to the Foursquare and McPherson University families.

The entire board of The Communicator joins the University community in wishing her a happy birthday, long life, and prosperity in good health and sound mind!!!
