Dr. Ajibade: worried about FG's
approach to corruption
The Ag.Dean, College of Humanities, Social and Management Sciences (COHSMAS) McPherson University, Dr. Olubunmi Ajibade, on Friday, 9th February 2024 berated the Federal Government on the state of the nation. In a chat with Dr. ‘Tayo Sowale at the COHSMAS Building, Dr. Ajibade expressed worry that corruption has crippled all aspects of the nation’s economy under the watch of the president whom many political pundits on the social media aptly described as ‘seemingly helpless’ at the moment.

According to Dr. Ajibade, the nation would continue to suffer greatly unless the government is changing its approach to the fight against corruption. On his part, Dr. Sowale however kicked noting that corruption was not exclusive to Nigeria alone. “Some American politicians and institutions are more corrupt. The scale of corruptions in some of these western nations are more damning than we can imagine”, Dr. Sowale stressed enthusiastically.

Exams: Presidents begin campaigns against misconducts

By Timothy Sogaolu

300 Level Mass Communication

Th e Coalition of Presidents of Student Associations in McPherson University, Ogun State, yesterday staged a walk against examination misconducts on Campus. The Communicator gathered that the move was part of the series of initiatives aimed at discouraging misconducts during the 2023/24 First Semester Examinations which is scheduled to commence on Monday.

The Presidents of Mass Communication Students Association (MACSA), Miss. Ibukunoluwa George, as well as her counterpart from the International Relations Students Association (IRSA), Miss Deborah Akintola, among others were seen dancing and educating passers-by on the dangers of misconduct and the need to shun all forms of ill-acts inimical to their academic development.

Reacting to the campaign, the Ag. Dean, Student Affairs, Dr, Sunday Omeike and the Student Affairs Officer, Mr. Daniel Uwelu, in separate chats, told our correspondents that the Association Presidents have the support of the Directorate for the advocacy. It is expected that the students in general would heed the interventions of their colleagues who have taking a stand against misconducts.
