Mass Comm. Department Holds Research Seminar

Students at McPherson University, Ogun State, have been urged to devote quality time and attention to their final year research works.

The Ag, Head, Department of Mass Communication, College of Humanities, Social & Management Sciences (COHSMAS), McPherson University, Dr Buhari Rasheed who spoke at the one-day event stressed the importance of quality research works in proffering lasting solutions to identified problems in the society.

Dr. Rasheed warned students against contracting their research project writing to other parties.

“Research project is part of your academic work. Don't contract it out. It is unprofessional. It is unethical. It is unacceptable!”, he said. 

Similarly, the Ag. Dean, College of Humanities, Social & Management Sciences (COHSMAS), Dr. Olubunmi Ajibade; Ag. Head, Business Administration, Dr. Shonubi Olalekan; the Ag. Head, Department of Languages, Dr. Temidayo Akinrinlola, and Mr. Olawale Ayoola of the Economics Department, all addressed different aspects of Project writing and urged students to be as meticulous as possible at every stage. 

The practical seminar which was organized for 300 and 400-level students of Mass Communication was described as insightful and worthwhile by some of the participants.
