In an unexpected turn of events, Multichoice, the parent company of DStv, has decided to bring joy to football enthusiasts by announcing the broadcast of the entire African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament on its Supersport channels. Just last Wednesday, the company had initially disclosed that it couldn’t secure the broadcasting rights for the prestigious event, leaving fans disappointed.

However, breaking the news via a spirited tweet from @DstvNg, Multichoice declared a U-turn on its decision, stating, “No gree for anybody! Watch all 52 matches of the #afcon2023 on @supersport.” This revelation comes as a pleasant surprise for fans who were initially left in suspense.

Earlier concerns were addressed when the Nigerian Television Authority also pledged to transmit all 52 AFCON matches, providing Nigerian football enthusiasts with not one but two exciting options to cheer on the Super Eagles. With the tournament scheduled to unfold between January 13 and February 11, 2024, football fans are now eagerly anticipating an unforgettable AFCON experience on the Supersport channels.

In case you're wandering what match is a must watch? I’m thinking Nigeria’s game is a must watch.
